Advanced Imaging Procedures
West Valley Medical Center works with Gem State Radiology, which has expanded its services to include the Caldwell area. Residents who live in Canyon County no longer have to travel to Boise to have interventional radiology procedures. These services include:
- Placement of “Tunneled Permanent Catheters” for dialysis
- Placement of “Temporary Catheters” for dialysis
- Evaluation and maintenance of existing “AV Grafts” for dialysis patients
- Placement and removal of Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filters for patients at risk for pulmonary embolism.
- Placement of Port-a-Caths and Peripherally
Inserted Central Venous Catheters for patients on long-term chemotherapy or the infusion of other medications. - Placement of urology catheters and stents
- Injection procedures for pain management
