Intensive And Critical Care Unit

Our Services

The 10-bed Critical Care Unit and seven-bed Intermediate Care Unit provide intensive care to patients who require constant monitoring or special therapy. The CCU also provides care to post-anesthesia recovery patients and some outpatients, including those having a cardiac catheterization procedure, cardio versions, and some specialized IV therapy including blood transfusions and antibiotic infusions.

Patient Care Team

The critical care staff are a team of nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and monitor techs working in conjunction with the physicians to provide top quality care to the patients we serve. The critical care nurses are specially trained in advanced life support techniques to handle the specialized needs of our patients as well as to monitor and maintain the specialized equipment that is used in the unit.

Advancing Technology

The equipment used in the CCU is some of the most advanced equipment available today. Some of the equipment used includes state-of-the-art ventilators, a system that monitors all of the patient’s vital signs, and specialized monitoring that is unique to CCU/ICU units.
