WVMG welcomes physicians, family nurse practitioner

CALDWELL, Idaho West Valley Medical Group – Caldwell is excited to welcome a family medicine specialist and an internal medicine physician, along with a new family nurse practitioner.

J'Cinda Bitters, MD, is a family medicine specialist now at practicing at the Caldwell Clinic. Her areas of interest include comprehensive family care, pediatrics, family planning and pregnancy, endoscopy and more.

Dr. Bitters recently graduated from Family Medicine Residency of Idaho. She was one of only two residents selected to train as part of the Rural Training Track located in Caldwell. She was the chief resident, coordinating schedules and serving as the liaison between residents and faculty.

Earlier she earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch of Galveston. Before that she graduated Cum Laude with her bachelor’s degree in biomedical science at Texas A&M University.

Dr. Bitters was the Family Medicine Interest Group president, received the Gold Humanism Award and worked at the St. Vincent's Free Clinic.

Suzanne McConnaughey, DO, is a Board-certified internal medicine physician now serving at the Caldwell Clinic.

Dr. McConnaughey earned her medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998. She completed her internal medicine residency through the University of Virginia-Roanoke-Salem Program in 2002. Her undergraduate degree is from West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Dr. McConnaughey has served at various facilities as an internal medicine physician and as a hospitalist for several years. She was the medical director and vice chief of staff of Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital in Virginia.

Kim Drewrey, RN, FNP,  recently completed her master of science in nursing degree and has joined West Valley Medical Group – Middleton as a family nurse practitioner.

Drewrey earned her master’s from the University of Texas, where she earlier received her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She has worked as a registered nurse at various facilities, serving various types of patient populations. Most recently she served as an RN at Trinity Mother Francis Hospitals and Clinics in Texas.

Drewrey served in the U.S. Marine Corps for nearly six years, from 1995 to 2001.
