WVMC receives Diabetes Education Certificate
This year the American Diabetes Association lauded West Valley Medical Center's diabetes self-management program with the ADA's Education Recognition Certificate
This ADA honor signifies that WVMC's diabetes self-management program meets national standards developed and routinely renewed by the National Diabetes Advisory Board.
According to the ADA, 8 percent of the U.S. population has diabetes. Many people don't realize they have diabetes until they are treated for a life-threatening illness such as heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, blindness, nerve disease and amputation.
